I was experimenting with different techniques and colours here, as well as trying to practice my colour mixing. Acrylic on canvas using mostly only paints in primary colours.

Also known as Trichocereus bridgesii var. Monstrose, ‘Bolivian torch’, or the ‘penis plant’ (yes, really). I had an hour to spare so I thought I’d draw this little guy, who happens to live in my garden. Watercolour and fineliner. 



Makeup for White Night 2015

I’ve recently started colouring my hair with henna, which means that I’ve been spending a lot of time playing around with new makeup looks. Here’s what I came up with for White Night – It had to be suitable to wear to work beforehand as well! I’m really pleased with the rose gold eyeshadow and blush/bronzer, though I’d really love to try a cooler-toned lipstick with this look.

First post! A little abstract piece in watercolour and ink

I had a lot of fun with this one. I always lay down the colour first, and then use the natural contours and boundaries between colours to guide the linework.
